Total Terminals International, LLC (TTI) is a Delaware limited liability company incorporated in 2001, operating a full-service container terminal at Pier T. TTI, LLC has offices in Long Beach, California & Gilbert, Arizona. TTI’s terminal at Pier T has an efficient rectangular shape and occupies one of the best locations in the harbor. No air-draft or channel restrictions exist, meaning TTI can accommodate the largest capacity (23,000 TEU) vessels worldwide. The terminal employs 16 Ship-To-Shore (STS) cranes, has an on-dock rail facility linked to an extensive network of double-stacked inland rail services, and enjoys direct access to the nearby interstate highway system. Our anchor customers are Mediterranean Shipping Company, Hyundai Merchant Marine, and Maersk. The current list of ocean carriers serviced at TTI also includes Ocean Network Express, Hapag-Lloyd, and Yang Ming Line. TTI has established a strong reputation for providing the highest level of service through continuous investment in our employees, IT systems, and operating technology.

Code of Conduct

TTI is committed to complying with all the applicable laws and mandatory regulations, as well also adhering to the highest ethical standards throughout its business. The TTI "Code of Conduct" establishes principles for employees, to conduct TTI's business in a legal and ethical manner at all times, including in their dealings with business partners including, suppliers, regulators, customers, shareholders. 

The purpose of the TTI Code of Conduct is not to cover all circumstances or to anticipate every situation that may arise, rather it sets forth the basic principles and policies for the conduct of TTI’s business in an ethical manner. The Code of Conduct includes expectations and requirements related to communication, non-discrimination, harassment and other abusive conduct, data protection and privacy, safety health and environment, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, whistleblower reporting, and other matters.

TTI expects that employees raise concerns and complaints, or reports violations related to the Code of Conduct (or associated policies and procedures) topic areas or other issues that might negatively affect TTI or which would be in violation of any applicable law or regulation. TTI also prohibits retaliation against any employee who raises such issues. Instructions for raising concerns or filing reports are provided in the TTI Code of Conduct.

Policy and Notice of Nondiscrimination

Total Terminals International, LLC (“TTI”) complies with Federal, state and local civil rights laws and is committed to providing services without discrimination in accordance with

  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin (including limited English proficiency);
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibits discrimination based on disability;
  • Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, which prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities;
  • Age Discrimination Act of 1975, which prohibits discrimination based on age;and
  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulation 6 C.F.R. Part 19, which prohibits discrimination based on religion in social service programs.

How To File a Complaint / Complaint Procedure

This complaint procedure is established so that any member of the public who believes they have been subjected to discrimination in the receipt of benefits and/or services from TTI on the basis of race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, creed, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and/or related medical conditions), gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability (mental and/or physical), medical condition, genetic information, marital status, age (40 and over), military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by Federal, state or local law, and wishes to file a complaint may do so as set forth below. TTI is prohibited from retaliating against any member of the public who in good faith files a complaint under these procedures.

The complaint shall be in writing and contain information about the complainant and the alleged discrimination, including:

  • The name of the TTI department and/or employee(s) against whom the complaint is filed;
  • The location, date, time, and description of the alleged violation, including the names of the individuals involved in the incident complained of or who are believed to have witnessed or have knowledge of the incident complained of; and
  • The signature of the complainant or their representative.

The complaint shall be submitted by the complainant as soon as possible but no later than 180 calendar days after the alleged violation to: TTI’s Compliance Department at TTICompliance@totalterminals.com. TTI’s Compliance Department is responsible for coordinating TTI’s compliance with civil rights laws, including ensuring prompt investigation of complaints of a violation of this policy and implementation of appropriate remedial action to correct any violation of this policy.

If the complainant is unable to submit the complaint in writing, they may call TTI’s Compliance Department at (562) 256-2884 to submit a verbal complaint.

Complaints made pursuant to this policy will be kept as confidential as possible under the circumstances. TTI, however, cannot guarantee complete confidentiality. For example, under certain conditions, TTI cannot conduct effective inquiries without revealing certain information to individuals involved in the alleged incident and/or who have a need to know certain information to appropriately respond to an incident. Additionally, information concerning the allegations and inquiry may have to be produced by TTI to third parties for example during an administrative investigation or other legal proceeding.

TTI will conduct an appropriate, prompt, and impartial investigation of any complaint of a violation of this policy and/or the laws and regulations identified above. A preponderance of the evidence standard will be applied during the analysis of the complaint. Individuals who have information relevant to a complaint are encouraged to cooperate with the fact-finding process and should do so without fear of reprisal from TTI. Good faith cooperation in the investigative process is important to TTI.

In the event TTI determines that this policy has been violated, TTI shall take appropriate remedial action to address the violation. Remedial action(s) taken will be designed to stop the inappropriate behavior and ensure that it does not recur. The complaining party will be informed once the investigation has been completed.

If TTI determines that the complaint was false or that an individual has provided false information in the investigative process and/or refused to participate in good faith in the investigative process, disciplinary action may be taken against that individual, up to and including termination.

Requesting Accommodations for Disabilities

Consistent with these requirements, TTI encourages anyone who believes they may need one or more reasonable accommodations for a disability or medical condition to request them.
